Approval from the Norwegian Maritime Authority – MARPOL Annex II Inspections

The Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA) has officially approved Vestfold Marine Cargo Survey AS as a Recognized / Approved Supplier for conducting MARPOL Annex II inspections in accordance with the Regulations on Environmental Safety for Ships and Mobile Offshore Units.

Background
The approval is based on the company’s application dated 19 December 2025, requesting authorization to perform inspections under MARPOL Annex II (International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships – Annex II: Control of Pollution by Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk).

Following a detailed evaluation, the NMA found that Vestfold Marine Cargo Survey AS meets the required competence, quality, and technical standards to act as an authorized inspection service provider under the following regulations:

Approval Details
The approval confirms that Vestfold Marine Cargo Survey AS is qualified to carry out Annex II Inspections ensuring compliance with environmental and pollution prevention standards.

The company must maintain compliance with the required quality and competence standards throughout the validity period.
The approval may be withdrawn immediately if the company fails to meet the established requirements or operates contrary to applicable regulations.
