Vestfold Marine Cargo Survey AS

Vestfold Marine Cargo Survey AS (VMCS-AS)
Vestfold Marine Cargo Survey AS is an independent marine cargo survey and inspection company based in Sandefjord, Norway. We provide impartial, accurate, and timely survey services to shipowners, charterers, cargo owners, traders, terminals, and insurers across Norway and internationally.
Founded by a former Master Mariner with extensive seagoing experience on bulk carriers and tankers, VMCS-AS combines hands-on operational knowledge with rigorous, standards-based reporting. Our work is grounded in international maritime conventions and industry best practice, giving our clients survey documentation they can rely on for commercial, operational, and insurance purposes.
Our services cover a broad range of cargo and inspection needs, including marine cargo surveys, loading and discharge supervision, damage and condition surveys, draft surveys, tanker and terminal operations, sampling and quantity determination, and insurance-related inspections. We are authorized by the Norwegian Maritime Authority to carry out MARPOL Annex II inspections and are a member of the International Association of Marine and Cargo Surveyors (IAMCS).
As a fully independent surveyor, VMCS-AS holds no allegiance to any single party in a transaction. Our only commitment is to the facts — clear, defensible findings delivered without bias. Whether you need a routine pre-shipment inspection or independent support on a complex claim, we deliver professional results with attention to detail and a strong understanding of the commercial realities behind every cargo.
